Summer Sunflowers
This is Summer Sunflower from A Crocheter's Garden of Afghans. This is my first commissioned work. My other projects have always been for family or friends. Perhaps this is the beginning of a a new and profitable venture.
Beginning Motif
This is the beginning of a motif. The center is surrounded by the petals made of triple-crochet stitches joined at the top.
The completed motif
This is the completed motif. The petals are joined with green followed by a dark blue, reminiscent of a summer sky, and a final round of green. The motif is six-sided.

The Real Thing
This is the real thing. I thought I would throw this in for the comparison. Notice the honey-bee in the upper left edge of the flower. I won't be including that in my project.
